A Story Full of Unique Characters

Piper Pickwick—ahem, Wick, has attempted to leave Pickwick, South Carolina behind. She has dropped the ‘pick’ from her last name, she has taken speech training to erase any trace of twang in her accent, she has moved to the big city of Los Angeles, and she has become a successful image coach for a host of influential individuals. The difficulty, though, is that the infamous Pickwick clan, for whom the town of Pickwick is named, has not forgotten about her, including her Uncle Obadiah, who has been having heart problems and has been revising his will to make restitution for the clan’s infractions over the years. Piper just can’t let certain things about the past be known to the public – not after all she has done to bury and run away from it. Piper decides to come back to Pickwick and change Uncle Obe’s might – she just doesn’t bargain for Axel Smith.

Tamara Leigh Provides Effortless Reading

Tamara Leigh’s books are not only easy reading, but they are effortless reading – akin to the effort it takes to watch a movie. The story simply floats you along, introducing unique and sometimes quirky characters, and diving into the inner thoughts of the protagonist as she grows and deals with her circumstances. Piper’s story is no different, with quirky Uncle Obe and his stubborn lawyer, the handsome and mysterious Axel Smith, Piper’s cousins Maggie and Bridget, not to mention Maggie’s adorable and precocious daughter, Devyn. The characters grow and develop throughout the story, not only in their own personalities, but mending broken relationships and creating new ones.
